Historic Buildings
Ballinderry War Memorial Hall, constructed in 1924, serves as a living tribute to those who sacrificed their lives in The Great War. The Hall is a Grade B1 listed building, recognized for its architectural significance and historical importance. However, the December 2022 Conditions Report highlighted the Hall’s terminal decline, with one room now derelict. Without substantial repair, the building risks falling into disuse. The vision of the Ballinderry War Memorial Hall Management Committee is to restore and regenerate this vital community asset, ensuring it remains a thriving focal point for residents. Through comprehensive consultation, we have confirmed the strong community need for such a resource. The Hall will be repurposed to accommodate a wide range of activities, from meetings and events to cultural and educational programs, serving people of all ages. Our goal is to preserve the building’s heritage while making it a vibrant hub for future generations.
