Rifles 21st Century Operations

A new permanent exhibition at the Rifleman's Museum to tell untold stories from conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan and Eastern Europe where The Rifles regiment has been involved. Also The Rifles role in defence diplomacy and modern warfare. We will be collecting and conserving artefacts from The Rifles conflicts so they are not lost and enabling access for new audiences, especially families and schools through accessible design. We will be collecting oral histories to tell the key stories, especially from unheard voices such as women serving with The Rifles. We aim to increase visitor numbers, especially families and young people by creating a new interactive exhibition as we did with the Waterloo exhibition. We aim to use content to create temporary exhibitions at other museums connected with The Rifles. The legacy of the work will be new audiences and the capturing of untold stories from recent conflicts.
