The Pepys House Charity is committed to securing the future of its Grade I listed building, Pepys House. Through this project it will be enabling, in due course, the repair and conservation of the house’s fabric, plus sympathetic alterations to support its sustainability. The Charity also aims to enhance its resilience, by exploring potential partnerships with kindred organisations, strengthening its governance, and by undertaking key pieces of work to support the initial stage of a capital repair project. Through a range of public activities, the Charity aims to bring people together to engage in and share the stories associated with the 17th century chronicler, Samuel Pepys. By increasing public access to Pepys House, the Charity wishes to honour the legacy of Samuel Pepys, while also testing demand from local and wider audiences and using their feedback to shape future operations.
