Saving Ockbrook's Heritage

We want to carry out an options appraisal and heritage assessment of a listed school building at The Settlement in Ockbrook to understand the condition of the building and work out how we can transform it into a useable facility with community spaces and a heritage area celebrating the past and present. As part of this, we would like to engage those who have a connection and interest in the school, including past alumni, teachers, staff and local people in order to work out how we can best save, protect and share the history of the site with the wider community. This work is part of a larger project, turning the former Ockbrook school site into a residential activity camp facility, for children with health challenges and their families, to include accommodation and catering facilities for our beneficiaries, volunteers, and staff and enrichment opportunities across the campus.
