Saving Treslothan church saving heritage through pilgrimmage, history & nature

Our organisation aims to safeguard Treslothan Church from permanent closure by undertaking urgent repairs and restoration, which will remove this valuable Grade II listed church from the Heritage at Risk Register. The project will safeguard this example of Victorian architecture, by preserving it as a place of worship and increasing the church’s role as a community space. This will be achieved through diverse activities such as heritage interpretation via information boards, wildlife conservation, and visitor initiatives like champing (church camping) and supporting pilgrimage. By preserving this space and expanding its role as a social, heritage and nature resource, we will future proof the church of St John the Evangelist while addressing community needs in an economically challenged area.
