Scottie Press - the History of the Vauxhall Community

1. We will preserve the heritage of the Scottie Press, THE OLDEST COMMUNITY NEWSPAPER IN THE COUNTRY by digitising back copies and posting them on a dedicated website and our social media platforms for the community to access. 2. The project relates the history of Vauxhall through the Scottie Press, which is A UNIQUE ARCHIVE OF THE LIFE OF THE VAUXHALL COMMUNITY, and creating a future readership. 3. Prepare podcasts revisiting stories from the Scottie Press from the last 50 years 4. Curate an exhibition of stories, photographs and other artefacts in the VNC and Tate Liverpool 5. Active engagement to attract community and other visitors to the exhibitions and subscribers to our podcasts and digital publications 6. Relaunch the Scottie Press as a digital community paper and a podcast 7. Develop future heritage skills by training for young people in editing and writing a community newspaper, and producing podcasts
