Sound Foundations: Strengthening the Heart of Hull Minster
'Sound Foundations' will strengthen Hull Minster’s role as a centre for living heritage and as a vibrant community hub for Hull. It will increase the organizational capacity of the Minster to both preserve and fortify its legacy, and increase people’s engagement with the Minster and its heritage, whether they be visitors, volunteers, choristers or congregation. We will achieve this by investing in people: expanding the roles of the Heritage Manager, Volunteer Manager, and recruiting an Assistant Director of Music. Through developing these roles, the Minster can deliver on its programme of heritage engagement, protect and improve its historic Choral Hull program, strengthen our volunteer team, and develop detailed conservation plans for the Minster and our historic Grand Organ. By the project’s end, Hull Minster will be better equipped to manage its future on all fronts, ensuring its continued importance to the heart of its city.
