Historic Buildings
Through our project we hope to secure the future of the Grade II* listed Church of St Peters, Horninghold. This will be achieved by: - Addressing urgent repairs and making the building watertight. - Undertaking works to make the building safe and open so that it can be fully utilised for a variety of uses. - Involving more people by researching and sharing stories and information about our heritage. - Inspiring people to find out more about the aspects of our Church that make it special (Grade II*), including the Collyweston slates on the chancel and porch roofs and the Knights Templar coffin lid. By the end of the project, our hope is that the church will be removed from the Buildings at Risk Register. We will have protected and conserved our heritage and revitalised it so that there are more people supporting and enjoying St Peters in the future.
