St Andrew's, Boreham – “Saving a Church for all Seasons”

The Grade I Listed church of St Andrew’s Boreham has been a place of worship and centre for the community for over 1,000 years. St Andrew’s has a significance on both a local and national level, with connections to the Historic Royal Palace. However, the building requires urgent and major repair to the roof and floor to bring back the north aisle into use, and modernisation and upgrades to ensure its survival and ongoing operation. Once this is done the church building will be removed from the risk register and be able to by fully utilised as a heritage, worship, and community space, where we will be able to engage people in the unique social history of the church, its previously unexplored connections to the Royal Palace, and its architectural history and significance. We will be able to expand usage of the building which will not only reach a wider range of people, but secure the long-term future of the church, so it can continue to support the Boreham and surrounding communities for the next 1,000 years.
