St. Andrew's Partnership Project

The St. Andrew’s Partnership Project seeks to restore and revitalise the Grade I listed St. Andrew’s Church in Lt. Massingham - a peaceful village rich in nature and history. As the only public building in the village, listed on Heritage England's 'at-risk register' and located near Peddar’s Way, the church has the potential to become a vibrant hub for worship, community events, and cultural activities. Significantly, since the theft of its lead roof in 2017, the Friends of St. Andrew’s (fosalm.org) have been fundraising to create a lasting legacy by replacing the temporary roof covering which is now leaking, though rising costs from inflation continue to outpace donations. The vision includes installing bat boxes to protect the church interior and also features a digital media screen and interpretation boards to connect the church with local walking routes, creating a rich blend of culture, nature, and history.
