Historic Buildings
The historic wooden bell tower at the Priory Church of St Laurence Blackmore is a magnificent example of 14th C engineering and design and our project will protect this iconic structure for future generations to learn about and admire and ensure the knowledge of the construction techniques and purpose of the Tower are retained for the general public. Our goal is to draw an increasingly wide cross-section through our doors and be a village focus for social as well as religious life, whilst preserving a vital part of the Nation’s cultural heritage in the shape of the building and its bell tower.
