St Macartan's, The Forth Chapel Phase 3

Through this project we plan to achieve the following: Save our heritage by completing the restoration of St Macartan’s The Forth Chapel Augher, hence safeguarding the physical legacy of the Church for future generations. Continue to stimulate a greater sense of local pride and a greater sense of ownership in the Church building and the story of this sacred place. Inspire people to protect, appreciate and value their heritage. Make our organisation much more resilient and sustainable in the long term through delivering capacity building actions. Foster new leaders in the community. Whilst nurturing existing partners, continue to create new friendships and partnerships. Educate the public by sharing stories, traditions and facts about the building and people who have worshipped here over the years. Discover new stories, traditions and artifacts associated with this place. Reach out across the generations from the youngest to the oldest in the community, find and preserve their story, engage them in the heritage of St Macartan’s and encourage them to learn from one another. Make our heritage more accessible through digitisation and sharing our heritage story widely. Maintain and protect our environment and make our site more ecologically diverse. Promote the importance of our heritage and celebrate success.
