Historic Buildings
Our church project aims to preserve, renovate and refurnish the heritage associated with the church, which dates back to 1220. Our church is St Mary Magdalene Church, Great Hampden, near Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire. Once complete our project we will create a much more useable, appealing and inclusive space within the church, which can be used to attract many more people not only for Sunday services but for concerts, educational classes, prayer, study and worship. We hope that once word spreads of the usable space created that we will attract further groups to use the church and in doing so attract more people to attend church more regularly. We have already raised GBP254,000 to date to fund the main renovation works package. We are now trying to raise GBP85,000 to fund final stonework repairs & redecoration (Priority 1), hatchment restoration (Priority2) and bell tower access (Priority 3).
