Historic Buildings
After several years of delays, due mainly to the pandemic and organisational changes, the PCC is ready to move forward with a project that will ultimately increase community engagement and use of St Mary’s Church, ensuring its sustainability as a valued place of worship and a heritage attraction for the many tourists who visit Eardisland each year. We have long wanted to install modern facilities at our church, and to embed a sustainable programme of inclusive and enjoyable activity which will benefit our whole community. Over the past year, we have sought, and obtained, advice and feedback on initial proposals from the diocese and Eardisland’s residents. This has been helpful, but we now feel overwhelmed with possibilities. With so many ideas and options on the table, we need to explore what is possible and create a strategic plan for St Mary’s future.
