Historic Buildings
The project will support the ongoing community focus of the Grade I church which lies at the heart of Hadleigh. We seek to deliver crucial preparatory work to build the foundations for future works, sustainably securing the built fabric for generations to come. At its core, the project champions local heritage. The history of the families and craftsmanship which constructed the church will be spotlit through pilot activities and engagement opportunities, ensuring the church continues to be a living celebration of community. A feasibility study, and the development of a business plan and architectural drawings, will address urgent repair and access needs; whilst providing a solution to current operational conflicts which are compounded by a rapidly growing local population that places the church’s space under increasing demand. Practical needs, operational requirements and priority works will be underpinned by in-depth consultation, ensuring that developments are founded upon robust evidence of need.
