Historic Buildings
The PCC is committed to securing the fabric of its Grade II* listed Heritage at Risk church, The project will protect fabric in the short term, providing safe public access by undertaking urgent repairs to the tower. In addition, we will plan the future repair and conservation of wider historic fabric, and assess the need for community facilities to support income generation via community consultation. Through the project the PCC aims to strengthen its resilience by preparing a Business Plan to support organisational development and identify new income streams, protecting the historic church in the long term. Other pieces of critical work will lay the foundations for a major capital repair project. Through trial engagement activities the PCC will also share the history and heritage of its Victorian church and churchyard with a greater number of people, targeting particularly primary school children, Scouts aged 12 to 14 and older people.
