Historic Buildings
We are trying to preserve heritage in response to the Buildings at Risk Register and our Quinquennial Report of 2022. Some repairs have taken place at a cost of £100,000, which necessitated the complete removal of the heating system to access the bell frame for its replacement, but we need to do more to ensure this historical site remains intact for another millennium. We need to repair the tower roof in order to prevent direct water ingress which was picked up from the Quinquennial Report of 2022. The report of 2022 further highlights that the ineffective heating installation has contributed significantly to a very damp environment throughout the church. We therefore need to install a heating system to combat extensive damp throughout the building. We also wish to include an air source heat pump to reduce our carbon footprint, setting the building up for further future reductions through re-ordering.
