St Oswald’s Church Project Planning.

St Oswald’s Church is a much-loved landmark within the Coney Hill community, valued not only for its historic significance but also as a familiar and welcoming space for local residents. The Church is located in an area of high deprivation, and in recent years, only small maintenance jobs have been possible, leading to parts of the building being in need of urgent attention. We would like to apply for a Project Planning Grant, to explore options, quotes and plan for a wider project to deliver the works which are required. The works which need to be investigated are: remediation of interior plaster decay and redecoration, external repointing, door repairs, external landscaping, and new heating/lighting. We are committed and determined to ensure St Oswald’s remains a place of worship, welcome and community life for years to come, and recognise that the fabric of the church building is foundational to this aim.
