St. Peter’s Church, Neatishead, Heritage Restoration Appeal

The purpose of this application is to enable St Peter's Neatishead to carry out two urgent restoration projects. Firstly, the restoration and making safe the single 18th century bell and its housing. This bell replaced the original three bells, two sold in 1695 and without restoration the bell will become a public hazard Secondly securing the West boundary wall a major feature in the repair and preservation of St. Peter’s Church, Neatishead. This wall is approximately 80 meters in length by one meter high and the restoration will enable future generations to admire and to enjoy the peace and tranquillity within its enclosed space. Restoration will also ensure the safety of pedestrians as sections of it are in danger of collapse into the road. This is to be achieved by a mixture of conservation and re-building and the benefactors include local community worshipers, residents and visitors to the village
