St Peters Church- Reredos Restoration works and Heritage Activity Programme

Our objective is to preserve a significant piece of local and religious heritage, through carrying out urgent restoration work and restore a nineteenth century reredos located in a prominent position in this Grade II* listed Warwickshire church. The reredos, with its intricate carvings and historical significance, represents not just an artefact of this church but a piece of art that reflects the cultural and artistic achievements of the nineteenth century. By restoring it, we ensure that future generations can appreciate and learn from this heritage. Our project is also aimed at creating greater opportunities to engage with the heritage of this building more broadly. The restoration process will be the prompt for various community engagement activities focused on art restoration, historical craftsmanship, and social and religious history.
