Stoke-on-Trent 100: A Heritage Festival for the Centenary

Stoke-on-Trent will enter its centenary year in 2025. This milestone provides a significant opportunity for everyone to come together, both in celebration and commemoration of the city’s past historic achievements, as well as looking ahead to the city’s future heritage legacy over the next 100-years. Stoke-on-Trent City Council will work in partnership with cultural heritage organisations to deliver a collaborative programme of events and exhibitions, showcasing the city’s diverse cultural heritage by raising awareness and expanding their reach of engagement – through the creation of a collective ‘festival of heritage’. The Festival will coalesce across three cultural heritage themes: Ceramic City – linked to the recent status of becoming a World Craft City; the launch of A Living Heritage City – bringing the tangible and intangible living heritage narratives of Stoke-on-Trent to life; and Future Heritage – targeting the at-risk built heritage and its future development, innovation and sustainability.
