Historic Buildings
St Mary and All Saints Church, is a Grade II* listed rural church located between the villages of Haselor and Walcote. The church is part of the Alcester Deanery within the Diocese of Coventry. The church serves as a vital community asset, hosting regular services and other events for the communities, including the village school. The site of the church has been a location of a religious events for over 1,000 years as detailed within historic records, with the current building being of Norman era. The 2023 Quinquennial Inspection highlighted the deterioration of the exterior walls, necessitating immediate repairs to stonework and repointing of lime mortar to prevent further damage and ensure the building's safety and usability. The project has a total cost of £76,403 for which we are seeking funding support of £34,886 which will ensure the preservation of this historic building for future generations.
