Tewkesbury Abbey – Welcoming All

We would like to achieve the following through our project: Prioritised schedule of works to save the heritage of the Abbey and improve environmental sustainability based on a series of fabric investigations. Pathway to organisational sustainability built on tried and tested strategies. Outline plans for future capital build aspirations (such as visitor facilities, accessible toilets, heritage interpretation areas) scoped out through stakeholder engagement and consultation. Fundraising infrastructure that has been tested and developed with funding sources identified to support £multimillion campaign(s) to save the Abbey’s heritage, improve environmental sustainability and develop visitor/heritage interpretation facilities. Increase in visitor numbers on target to double by 2030 with an improved visitor experience built on research/consultation and investments in marketing and volunteer support. A Long-Term Business Plan and Strategy that brings together all of the above to ensure a sustainable future for the Abbey as the project’s legacy.
