The Beverley Minster “Destinations” Project

The Beverley Minster Destinations project represents a step-change for the Minster team, seeking to recognise and deliver on the regional importance of the Minster in local identity, regional tourism and the importance to local economy. In partnership with regional and local organisations we will open up access to the regional heritage of pilgrimage to the shrine of St. John of Beverley, secure the fabric of the east end for future generations, create new opportunities for volunteering, training and engagement for new audiences, and improve the outside space around the east end to make a new, more biodiverse public space for the town. We expect the legacy will be a building which is at the heart of the region’s identity and focus, structurally in good order as part of our long-term plan, sustainably maintained and able to meet the needs of all users now and in the future.
