Bluestone Archaeology CIC is passionate about engaging with community groups and individuals Bluestone has a series of objectives relating to the project, the first being to bring to the local community the opportunity to engage with their past and in doing so re awaken the latent interest in the community as a whole, re-connecting to their ancient ancestry. Secondly, to create a heritage legacy for the younger people who can carry on the work into the future. Thirdly from an archaeological perspective we want to explore potential sites that could give the community a real sense of history and connect with their past heritage in an area that has largely been under investigated. This is about giving the local community a real sense of belonging to the land and a connection to the past through exploration and understanding. Community involvement is our passion and focus for the project.
