The conservation of the B listed Boleskine House

Our project is a transformative endeavor for the local area of establishing a pioneering community and nature hub at Boleskine House. The B-listed building was damaged by fire in 2015 and has been on the 'at risk' register since. In 2019 members of the community came together and funded the purchase, ensuring the protection of the heritage asset with a local charity. The rebuild commenced in 2020 and we are now seeking funding for the final phase, to complete the building by the end of 2025. We are the largest landowner in South Loch Ness where our whole estate is open to the public. Our project aims to address biodiversity enhancement, mental health support, and environmental sustainability, thereby making a difference in the lives of those involved and the local community. Our initiative positions Boleskine House as a year-round community asset and a beacon of environmental stewardship for heritage properties.
