The Future of Northamptonshire ACRE’s Hunsbury Hill Centre

Our aim is to establish a free-to-enter heritage destination in Northamptonshire, showcasing over 250 years of rural history, including the Iron Age Fort at Hunsbury Hill. We'll restore Grade II protected hovels, enhance outdoor spaces, build a new barn, and improve accessibility. Following feedback on our initial rejected application in 2023, we're now focused on preparing a grant application to the National Lottery Heritage Fund, emphasising options appraisal, master planning, and funding strategies. Additionally, we aim to recruit trustees and engage residents in shaping the project's future. This project positions us well for future success, particularly with large capital project bids to the Heritage Fund. We want to ensure we are in the best place possible to succeed with a future capital programme, and this project will enable us to do this by building our knowledge, future aspirations, funding strategies and governance resilience.
