Historic Buildings
Our vision is very simple. We want to restore to full working order the uniquely designed 1923 Jules Anneessens organ and train the next generation of organists. We want to share the heritage and the story of our wonderful organ and organ music with our community in the church, in the town and in the region. Our church is a community of people. We intend that the project will support our vision which is of a thriving community, contributing to the wider community to build a more sustainable, more just and more environmentally mindful world. Pope Francis set this out beautifully https://www.vatican.va/content/francesco/en/encyclicals/documents/papa-francesco_20150524_enciclica-laudato-si.html and Pope Leo similarly https://www.ehn.org/pope-leo-signals-strong-support-for-climate-action-and-environmental-care We value our heritage in Redcar and the organ restoration matters to people here. The organ is essential to our church and its restoration will be a major contribution to the achievement of our broader vision.
