The Keep Military Museum Resilience Project 2025 - 26
The Keep Military Museum building was closed at no notice by the landlord on 1 October 2024 for important structural work, with no date set for start or completion. The proposed resilience project is intended to prevent the Museum from failing while the building is closed. If the bid is successful it would: • allow us to move part of the collection to a place of safety to allow building work; • enable us to shore up and improve our financial position. • During the closure, give us the opportunity to take the museum to new and existing audiences, continuing to share our collection and stories; • All this would immediately protect significant and unique heritage at risk and in the longer term (once re-opened) make the Museum more resilient.
