Bridport Area Development Trust (BADT) want to ensure a watertight Literary & Scientific Institute (LSi) Building that is fit for climatic conditions by undertaking remedial works to the existing parapet gutter to the front roof slope, form an opening through the end gable to allow water to discharge into the new downpipe ~ this is currently seen as the most appropriate long term solution to avoid taking rainwater back through the roof space and to the rear gutter as happens at present. This project will subsequently enable BADT to complete the insurance repairs to the Top and First Floor offices ceilings in security and safety and protect them from future leaks. This in turn will enable us to consider a transfer of ownership to the Bridport Museum Trust. (126 words)
