The Oxford Arms – a community pub and hub for all.

Open Arms Kington (OAK) formed when a group of concerned local people came together, inspired by the idea of contributing to the socio-economic regeneration of Kington through securing and developing ‘The Oxford Arms’, a Grade II listed coaching inn, as a community hub and pub. Our Vision is ‘For Kington to be a welcoming, inclusive place that provides opportunities for all, and which fosters community, growth and resilience’ and our Mission remains ‘To purchase the Oxford Arms to develop it into a vibrant and self-sustaining community hub and pub - a place where good things happen every day’. This project will, through essential repairs and accessibility improvements, ensure that we are able to create in this much-loved historic building a welcoming and attractive multi-functional venue for a wide range of local social events and activities, as well as a place where services such as the CAB can be accessed.
