The Parish of Easington Colliery, The Church of The Ascension renewal Project

Through the Easington Ascension Church roof repair project, we aim to preserve our church as a vital community hub and a place of worship, remembrance, and support in an area facing considerable socio-economic challenges. By securing the building, we will safeguard its role in providing weekly food and social outreach programs, essential services that currently support over 60 people in need. Additionally, a restored roof will enable us to expand our partnerships with local schools and increase engagement with young families through toddler groups and family-oriented events. Beyond addressing urgent repair needs, this project aspires to create a stable foundation for our growing congregation and community programs, ensuring that Easington Ascension Church remains a safe, welcoming space for spiritual and practical support. By achieving these aims, we hope to build a sustainable future, allowing us to expand our outreach and foster a stronger, more resilient community.
