Museums And Archives
The Refugee Archive will involve refugee-led community groups and local culture and arts organisations in creating a plan for an archive catalogue of England’s refugee heritage. This will pave the way for the first widescale collection of England’s refugee heritage created by refugees and people from refugee families. The project will connect different refugee groups across England, focusing on five cities, to develop a network of organisations and local groups that will contribute material to the archive so that, for the first time, a comprehensive collection of stories, images, and oral and written histories by refugees in England will become accessible to the public. The first stage of the Refugee Archive will involve refugee-led groups whose members will decide upon the content and format of the archive.
