Historic Buildings

The Scottish Civic Trust - a sustainable future

We want to achieve sustainability for SCT, and in so doing, ensure we can continue to support Scotland’s vulnerable built heritage ecosystem for generations to come. We will: • Reduce our dependency on competitive funding • Procure the skills we need to diversify our income streams • Ensure our business is operating at maximum efficiency • Maximise our membership and develop new programmes of support • Build sponsorship and patronage offers to ensure our programmes are supported to benefit Scotland’s heritage and communities. We aim to ensure that SCT operates in a more financially sustainable way by diversifying our core funding through increasing our membership revenue, examining our business processes, and exploring opportunities for revenue generation, thus reducing our reliance on external grants. This would support our vital work in Scotland, particularly the Diverse Heritage programme, which works with communities traditionally marginalised by the Scottish heritage sector.
