To create the strategic foundations and organisation resilience to progress The Bowes Museum's 2092 Vision. By increasing organisational and environmental sustainability, access and inclusion we’ll create the conditions to ensure the heritage we care for, is safeguarded and remains relevant for future generations. Five interlinked workstreams will be delivered by new staff roles, external consultancy partners and specialist advisory groups: Develop an investment plan to deliver the Capital Master Plan Feasibility Study and Options Appraisal, currently in progress, funded by National Highways. Develop a new Funding and Investment model, identifying new opportunities for income, increasing our endowment, and efficiencies for long term sustainability. Create an Environmental Sustainability Strategy, identifying opportunities for investment in sustainable technologies/practices to support Net-Zero ambitions. Create a Digital Infrastructure Strategy to provide more engaging and accessible experiences for audiences and more effective/efficient operations. Develop our workforce skills, capacity, and confidence to achieve our future vision.
