Museums And Archives
This project concludes the final critical phase of Cornwall Museum’s transformation, creating the vital infrastructure to care for, celebrate, and share Cornwall’s premier museum collections. Building on our NLHF Resilience project and £4.3M in recent investments to complete essential upgrades and secure the museum’s long-term future and in being a fully accessible, vibrant cultural destination. The project will: • Deliver vital infrastructure improvements to enhance the museum and protect the future of its historic building and collections. • Develop exhibitions and programmes that explore overlooked histories and sensitively reinterpret the ‘World Cultures’ collection through honest, inclusive storytelling. • Foster partnerships and engage diverse audiences through community-led activities that reflect Cornwall’s identity as a minority nation. • Enhance learning spaces and deliver dynamic programmes to inspire participation, creativity and exploration across all ages. • Strengthen long-term financial resilience by optimising current and new income generating initiatives.
