Vestry House Museum. History in the making, since 1730

Our Mission is to revitalise Vestry House Museum as an accessible, diverse and inclusive heritage destination, that reflects the residents of Waltham Forest. Creating a multi-use site that increases access to culture, skills and education for young people and residents, our aim is for Vestry House Museum to be more financially and environmentally sustainable, securing its impact for future generations. Objectives A fully inclusive cultural and heritage offer, attracting people from diverse backgrounds, and increasing visitor numbers. A multi-site offer showcasing the heritage of the borough with the museum at its core. An enhanced employment, education and skills offer for local young people. Increased environmental sustainability and reduced carbon footprint across the building and operations. Increased accessibility of building and garden. Increased access to collections through digitisation. A new operational model that improves financial sustainability through the combination of workspaces with a culture and heritage offer.
