Veteran’s Voices: 100 Years of Housing Heroes
Through a series of creative, educational and social heritage-based activities, the project aims to: - Preserve the heritage and stories associated with The Stoll Foundation as they face risks due to our upcoming move. - Improve the wellbeing of our beneficiaries during a turbulent time, while teaching key heritage skills and providing new opportunities. - Create a sense of place at our new-build development by exploring the lost and forgotten heritage of the area and easing the transition of the move. - Build lasting connections with the local community (civilian and veteran) while increasing awareness of veterans’ issues and The Stoll Foundation’s work and history. The project will create permanent ties between our old and new sites as well as our residents and local communities. It will generate renewed interest in The Stoll Foundation’s mission and will preserve both tangible and intangible aspects of our rich heritage for future generations.
