Virtual Visits to Hoar Oak Cottage

We would like to achieve 'digital online access' to Hoar Oak Cottage, an important piece of heritage on Exmoor, by creating a series of digital films of the cottage, its surroundings and walking routes used for 200 years by past inhabitants to and from the cottage. Now an uninhabited heritage ruin it is in a remote part of Exmoor accessible only on foot across open moorland. Our 2011 NLHF funded project identified that people wanted to 'see and experience' the cottage and its surroundings despite being unable walk there, unable to reach Exmoor (limited public transport), or had disabilities, health, economic or social limitations or lived too far away. We will use modern, affordable digital photography (cameras mounted on a professionally operated aerial drone) enabling us to create the 'Virtual Visit' films which will be hosted on our new YouTube channel for all to view.
