West Window Restoration and Protecting the Environment

St Swithun’s Church, situated in Bournemouth’s Town Centre is a vital community resource to the local people. We deliver a wide range of activities to meet local needs and provide for our community. To be able to continue to do this we need to carry out works to the building. Our West Window, one of the most striking features, is in urgent need of restoration as its condition is rapidly deteriorating. We also have an inadequate heating system that is nearing the end of its life, is expensive to run and has high carbon emissions. Window repairs and a new air source heat pump system will see the building protected for the future. In addition, we are exploring our heritage in greater detail to make it more widely known and accessible to visitors as well as teaching people about the importance of environmental sustainability.
