Historic Buildings
Our project will repair and improve the Grade II listed Westmill Village Hall to enable it to serve as a successful community hub for future generations. It's roof is in urgent need of renovation and the opportunity is being taken to install roof insulation. These repairs and improvements are needed to conserve the hall and its heritage character and improve its energy efficiency, sustainability and usability. The hall is in the center of village life and is used by local parish councils, a village pre-school nursery, village groups, villagers and as the local polling station. The project is conservation-driven, recycling wherever feasible and using natural, sustainably produced materials. Great care will be taken retain the building's historic character and its traditional appearance, and to provide comfortable and usable space for future occupants to enjoy.
