Wilton Sunrise Project - Pre-development Stage

This application is for the pre-development stage of a much larger project; Wilton Sunrise. The Wilton Sunrise Project aims to renovate and adapt St Peter's, Fugglestone, an underused medieval church in poor repair in Wilton, Wiltshire into a joint place of worship and community amenity for the benefit of residents and visitors. St Peter's is a key building in Wilton with a rich heritage that needs to be respectfully given a new lease of life and sustainable future. In order to achieve this Wilton Community Land Trust and Wilton Parochial Church Council have set up a Working Group, drawn from the local community, to lead the project. This pre-development stage will include; holding a large scale public meeting, volunteer governance and project training and the formation of a new charitable organisation able to later oversee renovations and adaption of St Peter's and then, on completion, management of the building itself.
