Historic Buildings
The Tide Mill, Woodbridge, one of only a handful in the world still producing flour on a regular basis and among the first tide mills in the country, working on the same site for over 850 years. It is now a popular, interactive working museum with exhibits on the environment, history, engineering and food production. The mill also provides educational outreach opportunities for schools and other education establishments. Over the last few years the harsh weather we have had has taken it's toll on the wooden board exterior. It is turning green and is rotting in parts, and is in urgent need of external renovation to protect the integrity of the structure, the museum exhibits and keeping it weatherproof.
