Culture And Memory
The project will celebrate VisionPK’s 160th anniversary by preserving and sharing the charity’s rich heritage. The project will research, collect, and digitise historic documents, photographs, and records, protecting fragile materials and making them accessible to the public. A timeline of VisionPK’s 160-year journey will highlight key milestones, showing how services and support have evolved. An audio wall will capture memories and stories from service users, families, volunteers, and staff through oral history interviews and storytelling workshops, ensuring lived experiences are recorded. These elements will contribute to a heritage film and be displayed in a heritage exhibition, allowing visitors to explore archives, listen to stories, and engage with the organisation’s history. The film and digital archive will also be shared via screenings, partner organisations, and online platforms. This project will safeguard VisionPK’s heritage, strengthen community connections, and inspire future generations to value 160 years of stories, support, and impact.
