Culture And Memory
The project will support and celebrate our 25th anniversary with a four-fold programme to: expand ourTraditional Music Day (TMD); extend our reach across the region with new schools’ programmes andstepdancing events; improve access to our archive through a touring exhibition and new website; andenhance the Trust’s ability to continue this work on a sustainable basis through a robust business plan. TMD in Stowmarket will grow to a three day event . We will embrace the whole town and beyond, bringingtogether business, schools, other cultural organisations, and visitors to expand its reach and support itssustainability as a prestige heritage event. Our current catchment is mostly Suffolk, but through this project we will reach into Essex, Cambridgeshireand Norfolk, making us available to more people. A 5-year Business Plan, including strategies for fundraising, volunteer recruitment and further collaborative partnerships, will be fundamental to a sustainable future.
