A Network for Nature

A Network for Nature aims to deliver landscape-scale nature recovery across the historic Forest of Feckenham and surrounding areas in east Worcestershire - a 418 sq.km project area stretching from Bromsgrove and Redditch to Pershore and the Vale of Evesham. Once rich in woodlands, wetlands, meadows and species-rich hedgerows, this ecologically important landscape has been increasingly degraded by centuries of land use change, leading to habitat fragmentation, biodiversity decline and weakened ecological resilience. This ambitious project will restore and connect key habitats across nature reserves, farmland, community greenspaces and urban corridors. Through farmer engagement, habitat creation, education, citizen science, volunteering and heritage activities, we aim to create an exemplar of landscape-scale recovery built on community and landowner collaboration. Our goal is to inspire and equip people to care for and restore the landscapes they live and work in. The legacy will be a thriving, resilient landscape where biodiversity flourishes, people feel connected to nature and local action continues to drive long-term recovery.
