A new permanent exhibition will serve as the catalyst for capacity building across all activity at Maryfield Tram Depot, supporting a sustainable and inclusive community asset for Dundee. We will: • Celebrate Dundee’s people and history by sharing the city’s collective story through its transport heritage. • Empower the community through collaboration, self-determination, and active participation. • Create opportunities for volunteering, skills development, and lifelong learning—particularly for young people. • Strengthen social connections, enhance wellbeing, support social capital and build civic pride through intergenerational participation, exhibition content and creative programming • Ensure long-term sustainability by generating income to support flexible event spaces, accessible public amenities, and ongoing community programmes. • Build organisational capacity to sustain growth, meeting the evolving needs of Dundee’s communities. Our legacy will be a thriving, inclusive community hub, powered by storytelling, that celebrates local identity, empowers participation, and sustains meaningful social and cultural impact for generations.
