Culture And Memory

A Radical Re-imagining

We would like to undertake a multi-faceted heritage project at the Unity Theatre, exploring, celebrating and sharing our heritage as a former synagogue, as well as the history of our theatre as part of the Unity Theatre movement. This will involve a community theatre project and a new young radical theatre makers group, creating exciting new work exploring our heritage and looking to the future, cataloguing and digitalisation of our archive in partnership with Liverpool John Moores University, research, oral history, talks about prominent local radical figures, heritage open days and embedding some original stained-glass features within our building.
