We hope to achieve several things through this project. Educating the residents of the are is the primary focus. By having the history of the area researched thoroughly and methodically, we will put all the information gathered in a publication that will be freely available to residents and folk who have moved away. Ours is a growing village and the Community Association aims to help bring that growing number of people together by giving them all a sense of place and belonging. We believe that if the knowledge about this area is accessed to everyone then everyone will feel that sense of belonging and will value the heritage of our village and hinterland which will positively contribute to the community spirit of the village and ensure the cherished heritage of it will be known to all and never put at risk of losing it again.
