Nature And Landscape
We will undertake an ambitious programme of organisational development to meet arising land management opportunities, and to increase our regional impact. This will consist of: -An Operational Masterplan, with options appraisals assessing the best choice/s for the physical location of our organisational functions, including headquarters, storage, parking. -A Land Management Masterplan, which will consider locations’ potential for new nature reserves, new visitor centres, new community engagement facilities, and strategic contribution to nature recovery. Sites identified for development include Centre of the Earth, Park Hall (both Birmingham), and Jockey Fields (Walsall). -An Implementation Plan for the initial stages of both the Operational Masterplan and Land Management Masterplan. As part of this process we will decide how to commit BBCWT’s available unrestricted reserves to advance our Masterplans. The proposed programme would transform our ability to lead action towards the restoration and interpretation of our natural heritage within Birmingham and the Black Country.
